Head Butler's Room

You enter the head butler’s room and can instantly tell that there is quite a distinction in how the head butler is treated compared to the other servants. The first thing you see is that the head butler has their own dining table and tableware while the rest of the servants have to share the one outside. The room, while not as lavishly decorated as the main hall, is far from being modest. There is a window by a nice bed that is all barred up. An open wardrobe contains numerous identical uniforms. Even if the head butler is much better off than the other servants the boss of the house is making sure that he is aware of his place by making him wear the same clothes as the other butlers. But on the bright side, the head butler is lucky to have had carpet in here.

You take interest in something poking out the sheets from under the bed. While it is rude to touch other people’s belongings, you are not exactly in a position where you can care for basic etiquette like that. You take out a folded piece of paper, folded exactly seven times. A crease on the side of the paper hints that the person who folded it tried to fold it more but could not. Curious as to what secret is written on this piece of paper for it to be folded so many times and thrown under the bed, you unwrap it and find something peculiar written on it. It is a code of some sort but it looks to be only a part of it. You will have to find the rest to figure out the meaning behind it.
